Silvi Alta and its surroundings by bicycle.<\/strong><\/h2>\n

We present the bicycle route “hills of Silvi Alta and surroundings,”<\/strong> which starting from our hotel will take you through the hills of Silvi,<\/strong> an excellent itinerary also for a relaxing visit to the historical center of the city. The circuit is presented as not particularly complex nor exaggeratedly long (about 20 km), suitable even for those who are not experienced or regular cyclists. The first section, stretching along the waterfront, of 7.3 km is definitely the easiest section, being completely flat and almost always in the shade. It goes all the way to Piomba,<\/strong> Silvi’s southernmost area, and coming out of Viale Po, passing through the traffic circle we get onto Provincial Road 30, to climb toward San Silvestro<\/strong>, a district of Silvi. Here begins the sloping route, however still slight if one has a minimum of training. Although flanking the highway in the first part, the road already offers a beautiful view of the hills, which once you pass a charming little bridge, becomes even more spectacular, especially on slightly windy days, where you notice the swaying of the grasses in the fields. One arrives at Via Santo stefano, and continuing uphill, which now becomes slightly heavier, one reaches the church of San Silvestro, at the belvedere. From here it is possible to observe Silvi from an elevated position, and refuel with water at the ecological gas station. In taking contrada Forchetta, comes the most difficult part of the route, with 3 hairpin bends at a not inconsiderable gradient and which, to a casual cyclist might seem difficult. Contrada forchetta leads to the village of Pianacce,<\/strong> which marks the point where the route becomes extremely easy. In fact, from here, the remaining 9 km are downhill, and the only concern then is proper speed management. This is also the most spectacular part of the route, with intervals between the roadside vegetation and the striking views of the landscape from Citt\u00e0 Sant’Angelo<\/strong> to the Gran Sasso<\/strong> mountains. <\/p>\n

Arriving near the village of Silvi Paese<\/strong>, you will turn right in order to begin the steepest descent, on which you should strongly moderate your speed. Approaching the cemetery it will be necessary to reduce speed significantly in order to handle the two particularly tight hairpin bends. Once we rejoin the national road, we will ride the last small climb, and return to our Hotel. <\/p>\n
